Using images, ideas and sensations, Carol Fonda makes you aware of the connection between these systems and helps you establish movement habits that improve your facility as a dancer. She gives you tools you can use for self-coaching, even as you are dancing.

For Actors, Carol adapts her BodiBalanceTM Floor Warmup to incorporate sound and movement. Using simple standing exercises and movement combinations, she encourages you to connect speech and movement as a single effort. Sometimes through an improvisational format. Sometimes with simple choreographed movement in space.

For instrumentalists, Carol simplifies the BodiBalanceTM Floor Warm-Up to release tension from long practice sessions. Using breath, energy and creative visualization, you find a strong physical connection between your body’s center and its extremities (including fingers and hands).
Then, within a series of playful movement games and improvisations (with and without your instrument), Carol helps you experience rhythm & phrasing with your whole body. Improvising simple movement with other musicians, you develop a keener awareness of space & silent communication.
You begin to understand how playing with full body coordination serves both musicianship and longevity.
